Things are going great I'm back in Brisbane with a great coach , squad and awesome support network . Also shortly moving back to my old neck of the woods , Mt Cootha in Brisbane with my family and dog into an amazing new property they just bought yesterday .

On another note , check out Alpha Magazine next Wed 11th November . I'm featured as the Alpha Female . www.alphamagazine.com.au

Plans always change don't they..?

Hello All ,

Again its been a while since I last posted and again more changes to my yearly schedule .
A few months ago I decided that I would take a break from the sport this year . I have many reasons why I have suddenly needed some time out but don't really want to go into detail of it all in a blog. I can say that its nothing to with injury or illness , I am still fit and healthy !

During this time I have been kept busy by more work for my 2 2xu shops and been on various trips to North QLD and Brisbane to work for FOG's . FOG's is short for Former Origin Greats . The work so far has been a heap of fun talking to Indigenous high school and primary school students . For more info check out http://www.fogs.com.au/ Actually I could harldy call it work as it's something I enjoy and have loved doing so far. To help kids out is something I have always wanted to do .On top of this I'm also finishing off my Cert 4 in personal training , finally !It's been a while since I last studied so its good to get the brain going again .

On another note my dad had quite a major operation in hospital last week and will take a while to recover . Two disc replacements and a fusion later I hope he gets back on his feet soon ! To see the scans and xrays and see him in soo much pain before the op made me realize how @!#*@ tough he is ! Dad you are bloody amazing and will always be my inspiration!

So things have taken a change for this year ... not very much racing on the cards .Maybe none at all but I am still training - and just focusing on things like gym and strength work which will help me in the long run .
Can't say I'm itching to race yet as I have a lot on my mind and am kept busy with a lot of other things . I guess things don't always go to plan but I'm never one for worrying about it. I just get on with life and I'm loving it .

Peace ,

Update !

Hello !
Ok - so yes I'm still alive. I've just been really slack and haven't posted a blog since New Year! Sorry !

All was going well and I had put behind me probably the biggest base training I have ever done, thanks to my former training partner Emma Snowsill and and Coach Craig Walton . I can easily say it has definitely been worthwhile moving to the Gold Coast .To have the chance to see and do what the Olympic Champion does has in itself been a great learning curve . However, after the last few weeks I have decided to part ways and now am lucky to have the great support of QAS coach Steve Moss . I'm still living on the Gold Coast . I'm now quite settled down here in a great house close to the beach and I could not face moving back to my unit in the busy Brisbane city!

Things have been a bit rocky the last month or two after picking up a virus about 3 weeks before Mooloolaba World Cup and I was undecided as to whether or not to race . In all reality it was probably going to be harder for me to watch the race rather than compete so racing was the go . Not the prettiest of days at Mooloolaba but a 5th place was better than I thought I would get considering the previous few weeks prep .I then flew NZ to race in lovely New Plymouth , but unfortunately got a flat . Disappointing because I love NZ , but thankfully it wasn't a major race on my calendar !

Since returning from NZ I've had a few weeks break to refresh, get over illness and sort out new training plans etc . Next race for me is Washington World Champs at the end of June so I have a few months up my sleeve to get some consistent training in , with the big focus still the home town World Champs in September .

A big thanks to all my supporters , friends and family . Love you all !

Happy New Year

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Firstly ,I hope you had a good Christmas and best wishes for 2009!
My Christmas and New Year was spent with my family & friends mostly overindulging in Seafood - Yummmm.

But the silly season is over now and its back to the routine of things . It's a good 12 weeks till my first hit out at Mooloolaba and then another 6 weeks after that is the first of the 'World Champs Series'.

So there's not too much to report on at the moment ,just same old training at home on the Gold Coast .
It feels as though this year is going to fly by , I hope it's a good one :)
Peace and Love
